salernes vanaf helling.jpgMaison La Marcassinoise is suitable for 7 people. It is located about 2,5km outside the Provencal village of Salernes. The beautiful garden and private (fenced) swimming pool complete the picture. The area is hilly and full of olive trees and vineyards. The perfect holiday destination with great dining, beautiful golf courses (Golf de Barbaroux and Golf de Sainte Baume) and walks. The Mediterranean is an hour away. Also in the region are the famous Gorges du Verdon and the lovely Lac de Sainte Croix.

The house has 3 bedrooms. There are 2 bathrooms, one with bath and shower and one with shower. One bedroom with ensuite bathroom has its own exterior entrance.

The house is situated 20 meter from the road D560, the road from Salernes to Sillans la Cascade.   Salernes is situated in the valley of Bresque, where the rivers Pelicourt and Grave come together, this small town is both an artistic and an industrial center. Salernes is set on the side of a hill and is sheltered from the wind. In this mild Mediterranean climate, it is pleasant to stroll about the narrow streets admiring the picturesque houses and the 11th c. church with its door and two spires. The many gurgling fountains are refreshing, and the castle ruins at the top of the village provide a view dov n onto the roofs and their round tiles. Salernes is famous for the red hexagonal tiles that one sees in nearly every Provençal house. They are made of terracotta, glazed or not, and all come from the rich red iron filled soil of the area. There are 15 very creative factories that offer their products, famous the world over.   

 

 

Rent (euros) per week stay. Saturday 16:00 to Saturday 10:00 unless otherwise agreed.

Price includes costs for electricity, gas and water but excludes the mandatory final cleaning fee of €100 Linen rental is €7,50 per person.
