Over ons

I grew up in Overasselt, a small village near Nijmegen, where my parents ran a GP practice. I had a safe and happy childhood with my two younger brothers.
After secondary school, I went on to study Communication Sciences in Tilburg. My six years as a student were fantastic, with an active life in the students’ society.
I then went on to work for Arnhem City Council as a communications officer.
That’s where I met my husband, Jesse, in 1994.

The peace and space, the countryside, the light and the lovely climate of Provence were, in 2002, the main reasons why Jesse and I decided to settle here permanently. After familiarising ourselves with the way of life and work in the Var, we started letting out a friend’s house in 2004. Following Jesse’s death in 2014, I continued to live and work in this beautiful region and, with the help of my team, Le Cocon Vacances has grown steadily; I now let out around 40 holiday homes. Season after season, I love seeing that ‘my’ guests enjoy all the best that Provence has to offer just as much as I do.

The properties I let have been carefully selected. Should any unexpected issues arise, we’ll ensure they’re resolved quickly. Our main aim is to ensure that everyone who books a property with Le Cocon Vacances has a wonderful holiday. Our guestbook speaks volumes…
