A lovely drive: the Route des Crêtes near Cassis

The Route des Crêtes near Cassis is a drive through a particularly beautiful landscape.

La Route des Crêtes runs from Cassis to the neighbouring town of La Ciotat, a distance of 19 kilometres.

Without any stops, the journey takes about 30 minutes. The Montagne de la Canaille rises up along this short stretch of coastline.

There are dozens of breathtaking viewpoints along the route.

The name of this mountain range is derived from Latin: ‘canalis mons’ means ‘mountain of water’.
