Maison La Cascade
Maison La Cascade is a comfortable holiday home set on a 5,200-metre plot, a 2-kilometre walk from the Provençal village of Sillans-la-Cascade and 4 kilometres from the charming village of Salernes. The house is situated in a natural setting with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and can accommodate four people. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room. Your private swimming pool, measuring 8 metres by 3.5 metres, makes this a little holiday paradise. It’s a 20-minute walk to the bakery in Sillans-la-Cascade, where you can also admire a beautiful waterfall. Salernes is situated in the heart of the ‘Var’ in the Provence Verte. It is a charming Provençal village with a variety of restaurants and plenty of cosy terraces. There are also bakeries, a butcher’s and supermarkets in and around the town. On Sunday and Wednesday mornings, there is a lively market. Just outside Salernes, you’ll find a golf course. The highlights of the Côte d’Azur are easily accessible for a day trip: Monaco, Nice, Cannes and, in particular, Cassis with its magnificent mountain ridges.
Rental price is per week, from 4.00 pm on Saturday to 10.00 am on Saturday, unless otherwise agreed.
Includes gas, water, electricity and Wi-Fi. Excludes the cost of the compulsory end-of-stay cleaning fee of €110. Bed linen available to hire for €10 per person. Security deposit €300

Layout
On the ground floor of the house, you’ll find a cosy living/dining room with lovely views over the swimming pool and the surrounding area. Adjacent to the living room is a fully fitted kitchen (dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, American-style fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, Senseo and filter coffee machines). There is a toilet on the ground floor. There is also a lovely terrace adjoining the kitchen/living room, as well as a cosy lounge area.
The swimming pool measures 8 metres by 3.5 metres, with a depth tapering down to 1.70 metres.
On the first floor, you’ll find the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a double bed measuring 1.80 m by 2.00 m, and the other has a double bed measuring 1.60 m by 2.00 m. This latter bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet. The second bathroom is a spacious separate bathroom with a walk-in shower, double washbasin and toilet.
Facilities include: washing machine, gas barbecue, Wi-Fi, and a television with access to Dutch and international channels.
Pets allowed by prior arrangement.
There is an electric fence which you can switch ‘on’ if you are bringing a dog.
Area
In the heart of Provence, in the valley of the little river Bresque, lie the villages of Silans la Cascade and Salernes. Silans-la-Cascade is famous for its beautiful waterfall. Here you’ll also find a bakery and a few restaurants. Salernes is a charming Provençal village with a variety of restaurants and plenty of cosy terraces. There are also bakeries, a butcher’s and supermarkets in and around the village. On Wednesday and Sunday mornings, there’s a lively market.
Nearby are the famous Gorges du Verdon, the beautiful Lac Sainte-Croix, charming villages, lively markets and wine estates. The Mediterranean Sea is an hour’s drive away. Highlights of the Côte d’Azur are easily accessible for a day trip: Monaco, Nice, Cannes and, in particular, Cassis with its magnificent mountain ridges. St Tropez, Fréjus (its beach).
