Villa Bourriquet is a very comfortable holiday home (150 m²) situated on a plot (2,700 metres) with lovely views, approximately 2 km from the typical Provençal village of Montmeyan. Set in the stunning surroundings of the Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte Croix, it is just over an hour’s drive from the Mediterranean Sea. The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a shower room next to the swimming pool, and can accommodate up to 6 people. Your private 10 x 4-metre swimming pool, with the outdoor kitchen right next to it, makes this a wonderful holiday spot.

Includes costs for electricity, gas and water.

Electric car charging: flat rate of €75 per week.

Rental prices exclude a cleaning charge of €110.

The house features a very spacious, fully fitted open-plan kitchen (dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, cooker, Senseo and filter coffee machine, fridge, freezer). Adjoining the kitchen is the cosy living room. There is a piano which pianists are welcome to play. Adjoining the living room is a cosy covered terrace.

There is one spacious bedroom with a double bed (1.80 wide), one bedroom with two single beds (0.90 wide) and a third bedroom with a double bed (1.60 wide). There is a separate bathroom with a shower, bath and washbasin. There is also a separate toilet.

Next to the swimming pool (10 x 4 metres and 1.50 deep) is a lovely outdoor kitchen with a shower, toilet, washbasin, gas hob, microwave and gas barbecue.

There are houses in the neighbourhood, but you’ll have complete privacy at your property.

Area

Montmeyan is a medieval village situated at an altitude of 504 metres. It is close to the Verdon Gorges (the Gorges du Verdon), the lakes – 7 km from Quinson, 16 km from Esparron and 35 km from Sainte-Croix – and tourist villages such as Villecroze, Aups, Salernes, Cotignac and Moissac.

In the village of Montmeyan, you’ll find a grocery shop, a bakery and a butcher’s. There’s also a small restaurant, a pizzeria and a café. A larger supermarket can be found in Régusse (a 10-minute drive by car). Régusse hosts a lively market on Sunday mornings.

Mediterranean coastal towns such as Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus are around 75 km from Régusse. Adventurers can try their hand at diving off the cliffs at the Calanques of Cassis. For those who prefer fresh water, there are of course also the beaches along Lake Saint-Croix, where a wide range of water sports are available, such as surfing, sailing, catamaran sailing, canoeing and pedalos.

For keen walkers and climbers, there are beautiful walking and climbing routes in and around the Gorges du Verdon.

Golfers also have plenty of options. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the area. Nearby (max. 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, water sports, mountain sports.

There are also charming markets in the surrounding area in Aups, Villecroze, Salernes and Cotignac.

The region is home to olive groves, vineyards and fragrant lavender fields (early July).

The wine estates of Entrecasteaux and Villecroze are definitely worth a visit. Château de Berne in Lorgues is also highly recommended.
